This Spring edition covers our usual broad range of GB philately with particularly strong unused Queen Victoria Line Engraved & Surface Printed sections as well as some carefully selected Queen Elizabeth II “Wildings” of which we have a more substantial offering in the general listing on the website and in the office.
Also, worthy of mention are the very attractive surface printed combination pieces we recently discovered in an old-time lot, whilst it is a shame they are not on their original envelopes, they would make wonderful additions to any collection with their clear cancellations and strong colours.
This Spring edition sees our esteemed King George VI specialist, Dickon Pollard, describe a wide range of highly specialised used GB overprints, including varieties beyond the scope of Part 1 but listed on the underlying George VI issues of Great Britain.
Much of the material is from the ever popular Middle East. It is the first time we have offered such a fascinating range of these varieties and the chance to acquire these is unlikely to present itself for many years.
