CEYLON 1886 SG195/6, 198/9 Mint

Stock Code: P212013962

1886 (-1900) 5c to 28c, group of seven different marginal pieces with plate numbers, comprising 5c upper marginal pair with "5", and two lower right corner blocks of four with "4" and "6", 15c lower marginal single with "1", 25c yellow-brown in lower right corner pair with "1" and upper left corner block of four with "2", 28c slate lower right corner block of four with "1", large part o.g. to o.g. (some stamps unmounted). Odd imperfections (creases affecting 5c x1, and 25c x3), but mostly fine and fresh. An attractive and most interesting group which would be very difficult to assemble, the 28c block particularly scarce. [For the 5c value plate 4 was made in 1894, plate 5 in 1896, plate 6 in 1900, while keyplate 2 (for the 25c value) was introduced in 1899.]
