About Stanley GibbonsStanley Gibbons has a fascinating history that dates back to 1856, when a then 16 year Stanley Gibbons opened a stamp counter within his Father’s Chemist Shop in Plymouth. After a successful run and word of mouth, as well as the frenzied interest in stamp collecting eventually got big enough, he expanded the business and opened up a shop on the Strand (Where we find ourselves today).
For 2023, Stanley Gibbons has expanded its Auction House to include auctions in the Entertainment categories (Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering Trading Cards, Video Games, Comics and Sporting Memorabilia) as well as continued expansion of Coins and Medals.
Stanley Gibbons welcomes the collector in everyone, and a number of our staff have turned their passions into a job they love to do.
