Postage Due. 1935 (31 DE) locally addressed cover to "Mr. B. R. Bulsara, High Court, Zanzibar", underfranked by 1926-27 1c brown, tied by very fine type KD13 cds. The correct rate was 6c, with very fine "T in circle" applied at centre, and the 10c double deficiency paid by 1930-33 Due 2c black/salmon left marginal vertical pair (6th setting, 4th printing, R3-4/1) and 6c black/yellow (6th setting, 4th printing, R4/1), tied by large part strikes of a different ("KD13A") cds. Philatelic, but of special interest as one of five recorded covers posted on this day (the last day of use of the typeset postage dues), each with a different franking, to this addressee, who was the father of FREDDIE MERCURY (1946-91, real name Farrokh Bulsara), the music legend who was born in Zanzibar and a stamp collector in his youth.
