1895-96 1a plum, type 1 opt in BLUE on India, variety second "Gothic" "z" (with normal "b"), used with legible "FE 96" cds. Slight imperfections (small colour run at upper left, unobtrusive crease), nevertheless a great rarity and the only example with Gothic "z" known to us. From setting 1 (=Hall "D"), R7/4, occurring just once on a pane of 120. Ex Griffith-Jones, with BPA certs (1965 and 2018, the latter describing the variety).
