NEVIS 1862 SG2 Proof

Stock Code: P201009908

1862 (?) 4d imperforate colour trial in deep blue on thin wove (unlike the paper used for the 1862 issue), possibly to be associated with the 1866 second printing, when the colour of this value was changed from rose to orange. Attractive and scarce. [Examples of this trial exist with a Nissen & Parker "SPECIMEN" handstamp, known since 1869. See Borromeo p.55.]
