1945-48 25c dull purple and scarlet, ordinary paper, left margin strip of five, stamps 1 and 2 showing ERROR OPT DOUBLE, and the remaining stamps all showing ‘Opt double, one albino‘, large part o.g. (central three stamps unmounted), stamps 4-5 also show traces of an offset opt on the face. An important BMA showpiece of the highest rarity, from the one sheet that existed (as described by Patrick Kearney and Andrew Norris in the Malayan Philatelist, Vol. 24 (1983), pp 67 and 80-1), especially desirable demonstrating the development of the error across the columns. Clear RPS cert (1996) as old SG 13a/b, (prior to the current Part 1 listing) not mentioning the albino impressions.
