Stock Code: G1560215

1922-27 £100 red and black, upper left corner example showing plate number '1', unmounted o.g. with brilliant colours. A stunning example of this magnificent high value, in the finest possible condition (insignificant gum bend mentioned for accuracy)..Truly one of the great stamps of the British Empire, and the first we have been privileged to offer in over 30 years. Ex 'Kilimanjaro' and Melat. RPS cert (1975). [The precise number of examples in private hands is unclear, but certainly fewer than ten. This stamp is one of just five that we have actually been able to trace.]
