1912-13 2a to 100r set of 21 KGV revenue key type unappropriated die proofs in black on glazed card, each endorsed "For hardening" in M/S with initials and dated between March 1912 and May 1913. Occasional surface blemishes caused by De La Rue's overlapping mounting, nevertheless a spectacular and important showpiece set never before offered on the open market. Particularly desirable given that these designs were subsequently utilised for a wide variety of applications for India, Burma and the Persian Gulf. Ex De La Rue archives, and illustrated on pp.4223-4 of "The De La Rue Collection".
