INDIA 1881 SGT22, T6 Telegraph

Stock Code: P201000718

Telegraphs. 1881-82 2a bright lilac, type T20 (Calcutta) opt on fiscal stamp, three used right halves (including a vertical pair - sadly defective) in combination with 1869-78 4a light blue upper half, tied to large part Inland Telegram form (message to Madura) by two clear strikes (one very fine and complete) of "AKYAB 16-2-82" datestamp. The form toned, and only one 2a stamp fine, nevertheless a rare and remarkable usage of this provisional issue in BURMA, and believed to be the largest known multiple franking with SG T22.
