Court Fee: 1870-72 Telegraphs 8a brown first wmk, overprinted 'COURT FEES.' in red, horizontal strip of three, fine used with manuscript cancellation, and tied to small document piece with usual punch cancellations. Minor soiling and perf blemishes as almost always, still fine for this elusive revenue, seldom seen in multiples. [N.B. India Court Fees were introduced in 1870 without dedicated revenue stamps available. A wide range of stamps were thus overprinted locally in Bombay and Calcutta on an 'ad hoc' basis until the arrival of the dedicated 'Court Fee' issue of 1872]
