1855 (28 JY) cover (with contents) from Gibraltar to England, showing on front very fine "6" H/S in blue with similarly fine strikes (in the same ink) of three-line "GIBRALTAR / SHIP LETTER" ds and "GIBRALTAR" double-arc cds dated "31 JY 1855" on reverse. Backstamped with "LIVERPOOL / SHIP" ds (AU 6) and Daventry arrival (AU 7) cds in green. Minor cover imperfections (flap with repaired tear) still very neat and appealing, the Gibraltar cds clearly dated in error and partially obscured by ink.
