1902 1s Dull green and carmine (Board of Education). Very fine and fresh unused o.g. right hand marginal example from position 6. Some light gum wrinkles, primarily in the sheet margin, mentioned for accuracy and not detracting from this great departmental rarity. Accompanied by a BPA certificate and a 1912 letter of provenance from a Mr M Parkinson from the Board of Education. In which he states that the stamp was issued to him, when the stamp was current by the then Storekeeper of the Board of Education, and was in his possession until sold to Lord Crawford. Ex Lord Crawford, Burrus and Michael Astley Collections.
