1884 1d Black "National Telephone Company". Very fine unused o.g. complete sheet of twelve. The National Telephone Company stamps bearing the portrait of Colonal Robert Raynsford Jackson (Chairman of the National Telephone Company) caused considerable offence at the time of issue due to the omission of the portrait of Queen Victoria and were officially withdrawn from use in 1891at the request of the Post Master-General. Scarce and unusual.
