1858 2d Blue Pl.8. Very fine used example from state 2, lettered SD, showing the characteristic pronounced thinning of the left hand '8' plate number following repair. The repair also included the lower corner letter blocks, the subsequent burr rub and cleaning resulting in a marked broadening of 'TW' and the last 'E' of the value. A super variety neatly cancelled by a lightly struck Cork '156' duplex. Spec. G2i.
