1840 1d Mulready envelope Forme 1 Stereo A134. Very fine used uncreased example sent on May 9th 1840 from London to Yoxford, Suffolk. Neatly cancelled by a crisp red MC (contrary to regulations to the right of Britannia) with two lightly struck "T.P./Enfield" receiving office handstamps below. Backstamped with a crisp London code K, MY.9.1840 cds. A very attractive and scarce 4th official day of usage example that opens up perfectly for display.
