1932 (19 AP) registered 'Papadopoulos' printed cover to Ceylon, endorsed 'First Flight CYPRUS to Ceylon', franked by 1928 50th Anniversary 1½pi scarlet and 9pi maroon, tied by Limassol registered oval (additional strike alongside), with perforated black/blue airmail etiquette and registration label at upper left. Carried on the first direct Imperial Airways flight from London to India calling at Cyprus. The face with boxed 'RETOUR' and 'UNCLAIMED' H/S and red 'RETURN TO SENDER' oval ds (24 MA), the reverse with cds for Tiberias (19 AP), Colombo (29 April), 'R.L.O. / REGISTERED' (4 MY = Colombo returned letter office) and Returned Letter Office Nicosia (17 JU). Minor soiling still an attractive and very interesting cover.
