1858 (6d) reprint in the form a die proof with value tablet blacked out (Bayley type "C"), in se-tenant horizontal pair with the "general" Britannia type with country name replaced by diamond pattern (Bayley type "D"), in deep red on thick yellowish card with 7-22mm margins, with "PLATE 6" imprint above the (6d) impression denoting the Perkins Bacon sample plate. A scarce and most attractive item, printed c.1929.
