IMPORTANT ADDITIONS TO THE 2026 EDITION:

  • Indian stamps used in the Aden sub-offices now have a full, numbered listing (without prices at present).
  • The new listing of Cape of Good Hope stamps used in Basutoland, added last year, has been significantly espanded.
  • Booklet listings have been improved in a number of places, most notably Straits Settlements and Ceylon, while there is a completely new section covering those of the India State of Idar.
  • Details of postmarks used in Ascension prior to the introduction of its own stamps have been expanded.
  • In Egypt, the 1872 ‘Penasson’ stamps have been extended to include further watermark varieties.
  • The 1871-1909 stamps of Hyderabad see improved notes and illustrations as well as some additions to the listings.
  • Several new plate and watermark varieties have been added and there are new notes and information throughout the catalogue, including helpful aids to identification.
