May sees the return of the popular Salisbury Collectors Show held at The City Hall, Salisbury. The show is well lit and divided into three main areas on two floors. Refreshments are available in the hall as well as next door in Salisbury Playhouse theatre and cosmopolitan eateries in this attractive part of Salisbury.
Easy car parking is available adjacent to the halls and the venue is five minutes’ walk from Salisbury railway station. Also close by is the wide ranging stamp and coin stock of veteran dealers Dauwalders’ of Salisbury, who are the promoters of the show.
The show opens on Friday 4 May at 11a.m. and closes the following day at 4p.m. Entrance is free of charge and the 45 dealers that will be in attendance include coin, postcard and stamp dealers from far and wide displaying their wares. Stanley Gibbons will be present in the main exhibition hall as before and will carry a range of SG products plus bargain buys and stamps.
Any Stanley Gibbons customer wishing to pre-order any SG stock and pick their items up at the show, thus saving on postage, can call customer services on 01425 472 363.Visitors are welcome to bring their collectables to the show for a free appraisal of value, including selling by auction or private treaty.The show has a reputation for promoting collecting amongst the young and the charity Stamp Active will be present to offer free stamps and activities, as well as collecting advice to local children. There will be a free draw for a Penny Black, sponsored by Dauwalders. Adult collectors are encouraged to offer any unrequired duplicates to this worthy children’s charity.
