1870 Overseas mail. Very fine entire from Havana, Cuba to Buenos Ayres routed via a London Forwarding Agent. Sent to London in a bundle to forwarding agent Fesser, Uthoff & Co. (Company cachet on reverse for MY.2.1870) who endorsed the cover 'City of Limerick' and applied a 1s green Pl.4 (SG117) cancelled by a London '105' duplex for MY.2.1870. A very scarce double Atlantic crossing using the lived 'London, Belgium and River Plate Royal Mail Steamship Company' (Tait & Co.). This company only operated this route for 1 year from August 1869 to August 1870, completing only twelve round trip voyages utilizing four steamers.
