Revenues. 1912 pair of pieces from the De La Rue Day-book with stamp-size die proofs, each in black on glazed card, of the trilingual (English-Greek-Turkish) value tablets for the new KGV 9pi, 18pi, 45pi and 90pi. The first piece (44x49mm) with the 9pi value, endorsed "Jan 9 84 leads" with further red endorsement "Jan 31st 1912" and cancellation line (for the invoice date), the second (109x53mm) with the other three values, endorsed with individual dates "Oct 11 Oct 14 Oct 16" and "84 leads each", showing further red endorsement "7th Nov 1912" and cancellation line (for the invoice date). A unique and important record, ex Bols and De La Rue archives, but not described by Podger. [N.B. Although the 9pi was issued in 1912, the first 18pi printing was not until June 1913, the 45pi following in 1914 with the 90pi not printed until July 1922.]
