Only three sheets of the double surcharge existed, of which two were of a more normal type, this being pos. 67 from the third sheet. Sismondo cert (2007).

1915 1d on 10pf carmine, blue surcharge, error surcharge double, top marginal with '7.00' value imprint, very fine unmounted o.g. (hinged in margin). Only three sheets existed.

1915 2d on 20pf untramarine, complete folded sheet of 100 (10x10) showing two applications of 5x10 setting, brilliant unmounted o.g. The variety 'thick d' on pos 2 (=Gibbs 4a) appears on the right pane only, as does the 'thick F' on pos 13, although repeated diagnostic flaws (e.g. broken 'C' on pos 5) confirm the same setting was in use for both halves. Some gum creasing and separation but a fascinating item for study. Only 599 sheets printed. (cat £350+).
