1890 5s Rose on white paper (I.R. Official). Pristine unused o.g. block of four lettered AG-BH lightly mounted on two stamps only. AG & AH showing "Raised stop" variety, overprinted "SPECIMEN" type 11. An extremely rare multiple of exceptional quality.
1890 10s Ultramarine (I.R. Official, white paper). Superb used example lettered GC, beautifully cancelled by a crisp upright York cds for DE.13.1901. Lovely deep colour, an exceptional example. 2007 BPA Cert.
1890 £1 Brown-lilac (I.R. Official Wmk. Orbs). Very fine and fresh unused o.g. example of this difficult departmental issue lettered AD, couple of light vertical creases and a hint of toning at upper right, virtually invisible to the naked eye and mentioned purely for accuracy. Despite the aforementioned imperfections this stamp has an outstanding rich and fresh colour and is undoubtedly one of the most appealing examples of this great philatelic rarity. 1889 1s Dull green (I.R. Official). Very fine used block of four of this difficult departmental issue neatly cancelled by Glasgow Account Branch oval datestamps for OC.8.1894. Slight fading nevertheless a magnificent multiple of this very sacrce departmental issue.
1902 2½d Ultramarine (I.R. Official). Very fine used example cancelled by a Registered/ Halifax oval datestamp for MY.23.1903, with an addition part datestamp at left. Lovely bright colour, scarce so fine.
1902 10d Dull purple & carmine (O.W. Official). Very fine and fresh unused o.g. bottom right hand corner marginal block of four lightly mounted on one stamp only. A couple of light natural gum bends, mainly confined to the lower margin and not detracting from this stunning exhibition showpiece. Believed to be the only surviving mint block of four in private hands. 2013 PTS Cert.
1902 ½d Blue green (O.W. Official). Very fine used horizontal pair neatly cancelled by Edinburgh cds's for MY.13.1904, with overprint settings 5 & 6. A very scarce and attractive piece used on the last day of official use by Gorvernment departments.

A stunning exhibition showpiece of magnificent quality and one of the great rarities of GB philately, the only surviving mint block of four in private hands. 1945 RPS Cert & 2013 PTS Cert.
1883 9d Dull green (Govt. Parcels). Superb used example of this difficult departmental issue lettered DT, neatly cancelled by a crisp Leicester Square Depot W.C. cds for AU.4. Lovely fresh colour, scarce so fine.
1897 1d Lilac (Govt. Parcels). Very fine unmounted o.g. top marginal example with overprint inverted, tiny corner crease at lower right nevertheless a very presentable and rare unmounted example of this extremely difficult departmental variety. Cat. £7000. 2012 BPA Cert.
