1941 Feldpost cover to Berlin (Civilian Mail). Very fine cover bearing a ½d Light Green and a 1d Scarlet both tied by blue oval "Jersey-Guernsey/Mailboat/Channel Island" handstamps and a German 5pf Emerald (SG 496B) tied by a Guernsey Feldpost datestamp (without code number) for 27.6.1941 with a second strike alongside for the same day. Rare, very few of these "Mail Boat" cancelled covers are known this example is believed to have been carried by the States of Jersy Motor Vessel "Spinel" to Granville and there handed over to the Feldpost for onwards transmission.
