1850 10d Red Brown (Die 2 W.W.). Very fine used bottom left hand corner marginal block of four neatly cancelled by Edinburgh "131" numerals. Small filled thin on reverse and some light creasing, mainly confined to the margin, nevertheless this very rare block undoubtedly remains one of the finest surviving used multiples of the issue. Ex. 1848 10d Deep brown (Die 1). Very fine used close to huge four margin example neatly tied to a small piece by a London City "14" numeral and two Boulognes-S-Mer cds's for AP.4.1849. An attractive example with exceptionally deep colour. Cat. £1200.
1854 6d Dull lilac (Wmk. Reversed). Very fine and fresh four margin unused o.g. example. Lovely colour and typical streaky greenish gum, small cut in margin at lower right nevertheless a very presentable example of this difficult stamp. 1992 BPA Cert. Spec. H3(2).
1854 6d Purple (Wmk. Inverted). Very fine and fresh unused o.g. vertical pair. Cut along frame line at left, other margins clear. Wonderful colour, crisp embossing and typical greenish streaky gum, very scarce so fine. 1990 BPA Cert. Spec. H3(3)e. Ex. Atkinson.
