1872(c) ½d claret, 1d blue, 2d rose, 4d red-orange, 6d mauve, 1s dull brown, imperforate plate proofs on thin glazed card, opt 'CANCELLED' (as type D7 : 13 x 2mm on ½d, 1d, 2d, 1s, 14 x 2.5mm on 4d, 6d) in blocks of 12 (6 x 2) with plate number '1', the ½d to 4d and 1s matching from top of upper right pane, the 6d from bottom of lower left pane (with additional marginal inscription). Some characteristic bends, 1s with slight rubbing and ½d, 1d with some surface marks, but a stunning set with lovely bright colours. Probably only one sheet of 240 of each value existed, making these unique positional multiples, with only one further set of plate number blocks possible. [N.B. The contemporary 3d value does not exist in this form. Samuel did not distinguish the two sizes of the type D7 opt].
