1923 Setting I set of 12 to £1, singles with English type 1 opt, with additional vertical 'SPECIMEN' opt (type SWA1) for UPU distribution, o.g. with very fresh colours. Couple of insignificant blemishes on low values mentioned for accuracy, still a fine and desirable set, with five values (1s to 5s and £1) from the same sheet position, showing broken 'S' in 'South'. Rare thus !
1923 1d rose-red, setting I opt (14mm with space), block of 4 with interpane margin at right, lower right stamp (R20/6) showing 'Af.rica' for 'Africa' variety, unmounted o.g. Odd minor bends and two normals in upper row with slight perf faults, the variety pair very fine. Scarce.
1923 (31 Mar) £1 green and red, setting II opt (10mm space with hyphen) horizontal pair, fresh large part o.g. Well-centred with lovely colour. Only 1200 pairs printed.
1927 (Apr) 2d, 3d, 1s, 10s, type 5/6 opts in blue, the set of 4 horizontal pairs handstamped 'SPECIMEN' in violet (type SA5) for UPU distribution, large part o.g. to o.g. Faintly yellowish gum but fine fresh appearance. (cat £375).
1927-30 2d grey and maroon, type 10 'S.W.A.' opt, perf 14 x 13½ (up), horizontal pair, error opt double, one inverted, large part o.g. Faintly yellowish gum, still fine and rare. (cat £750).
