1891 'SIX' on 10c on 4d mauve, essay surcharge without bar in red, part o.g. Characteristic oily impression and a couple of toned perfs, still good appearance and rare. Mentioned in Part 1 footnotes after SG43/4. (cat £550)
1916 (23 Aug) 1c green, type 18 moire pattern in violet, with type 19 'WAR' opt, error 'WAR' INVERTED, very fine o.g. Only two panes of 60 existed (of which one showed 'WAR' misplaced).
1922-33 'SPECIMEN' 1c green, 2c brown, 5c ultramarine, each in a horizontal pair (the 2c left marginal), respectively type D19 (perfin), D16 and D12 (opts), fine o.g. A scarce and interesting trio of multiples, illustrating the three different forms of 'SPECIMEN' applied to this set.
1932 'Relief Fund' set of 5 to 5c + 5c, perf 'SPECIMEN' (type D19), brilliant o.g. Minor blemishes as usual, the perfin being too large for the stamps, but very fresh. (cat £110).
