1890-95 4½a brown-purple, imperforate horizontal pair from upper left corner of sheet, neatly cancelled by two strikes of Mombasa squared circle, dated 'JA 16 94'. Typically oily cancels, and right stamp with unobtrusive registration line, still a fine and impressive positional piece. Only three sheets existed ! (cat £450+)
