A Royal Engagement that created a Princess... and a unique investment opportunity for you
Have you heard the story about the girl finding her Prince, becoming a Princess, capturing the hearts of billions, before meeting a tragic end?
It started as the romance of the century and ended in tragedy. It could almost have been ripped straight from the pages of an Emily Brontë novel.
Today marks the anniversary of Prince Charles' marriage to Lady Diana Spencer.
Many of you will remember the day back in 1981 when it was announced that Prince Charles had finally chosen a wife - the little known Lady Diana Spencer.
Widely billed as a 'fairytale wedding' the couple made their vows in front of 750 million, with Diana bravely forgoing the vow to 'obey'. Something that caused much controversy at the time.
The media were mad for her and the nation quickly fell in love with her.
With a £9000 dress and five foot cake it was the wedding every little girl dreams of.
As her marriage to Prince Charles progressed, the world lived through it all with her. Through the good times and the bad.
Even when her world seemed to be falling apart Diana remained gracious and dignified. She dedicated herself to her two sons and to countless charitable causes.
Perhaps her most famous work came in the final years of her life when she fronted the International Campaign to Ban Landmines.
After her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996, many thought she was going to get the fairytale ending when she found love and happiness with Dodi Fayed. But it wasn't to be.
On August 31 1997, a car carrying Diana and Mr Fayed crashed at high speed in Parisian tunnel, killing them both.
Her death and funeral sparked an incredible outpouring of public emotion, with her funeral watched by an estimated 2.5 billion people around the world.
2.5 billion people. Let's just put that into perspective. That would have been around 40% of the entire world's population in 1997. Incredible.
It gives you an insight of how important "The People's Princess" was to the world.
British Royalty and aristocracy continues to be extremely popular amongst collectors, with huge interest in early royal signatures such as Edward IV and Henry VIII to modern day personalities like Prince Philip and the current Queen, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
However, interest in Princess Diana is unsurpassed. No royal figure has evoked such public adoration as Diana, Princess of Wales. Even after her untimely death, she remains the "People's Princess" and demand for anything she has touched is as high as ever.
Today, on the anniversary of such a special day to so many, you have the chance to take home some truly wonderful items.
We have an amazing selection of Princess Diana items available to buy as one incredible collection or, alternatively, you can buy individual items whilst they are available.

The collection includes a range of handwritten notes giving a very personal insight into the often closed world of royalty.
Each handwritten note provides remarkable insight into the facets of Diana's life.
Or you could own this stunning signed official colour photograph of a smiling Princess Diana wearing a diamond and pearl encrusted tiara and matching earrings.
I'm sure you'll agree that this piece captures the elegance and beauty that Diana was revered for.
If signed photographs or handwritten notes aren't for you, then we do have some slightly more unusual items... How about a piece of the official wedding cake? Or a signed sweatshirt? Or even signed family Christmas cards?

Perhaps the most intriguing item available is a book of condolences produced by the Daily Mail after Diana's death.
The Daily Mail invited readers to send in their messages of condolences with the plan of publishing them as a book. Due to the overwhelming response that plan was scrapped and only three copies were published.
One was presented to Diana's butler, Paul Burrell; One was presented to Sir David English, the then Head of Associated Newspapers.
And the third? Well, that's here with me now awaiting a good home...
The investment potential of items such as these is mind-boggling.
